Locating the toolboxes
- Now let's take a look at the individual tool boxes that are provided in MicroStation. The first thing we need to learn how to do is turn on and off the tool boxes that we won't use on a regular basis. For example, the standard tool box is not on by default. I will select the Tools pull down menu and select Standard to turn it on. Using this tool box I now have the Standard Windows Tools that many of you use on a regular basis. If you use buttons rather than the File pull down menu to open a file you need to dock this toolbox for every day use. I will dock this at the top of the application window in the same place I would find it in other applications. If I right click on top of any tool box you will see a list of all the Tools for that tool box, and which ones are on or off. The Standard tool box has all the buttons turned on by default. This is not true for most tool boxes in MicroStation. For example, here is the attributes tool box, if I right click on top of any of these tools…
