- [Instructor] Continue using the file for Chapter seven, Modifying Basic Geometry.dgn. And, using View Group, select the more modify model. Select the insert vertex command, and the midpoint of the smartline element, and drive the cursor in the Y direction, and left click to accept. If I want to control the distance of the new vertex, I can select the midpoint of another segment of the smartline and drag the cursor in the Y direction. And, using Acudraw, I can key in the distance of 20 feet. I can add new verticis to any element type, smartlines, lines, or shapes, as needed. Next, I will select the delete vertex command and select the first added vertex to remove it. For AutoCAD users, this just seems to simple, right? Wouldn't if be nice if it were this easy, in AutoCAD? No more moving around those object verticis to get to the right vertex that you want to add or remove.
