- [Instructor's voiceover] Continue using the file for chapter seven, Modifying Basic Geometry.dgn. And using view groups, select the BREAK Elements model. Select the BREAK command and using the tool settings dialogue, select the first method, BREAK by Two Points. Using this method, I can BREAK any single Element into two individual Elements by selecting at a specific snap point or any point along the Element. I will snap to the midpoint of this line and then issue a second point anywhere along the line to BREAK between the two points. Let me UNDO that. If I want to control the distance between the two points, I can select on the Element to issue the first point and drag along the Element and use Accudraw to key in the distance for the gap. I will drag my cursor to the right and key in the distance of 15 feet. And left click to accept. Now the line has been broken into two individual lines with a gap of 15 feet between them.
