- [Narrator] Continue using the file for chapter seven, Modifying Basic Geometry.dtn and using view group select the practice model. In this exercise you will learn how to use several of these modification commands to modify the parking lot and the parking access roads. We will use the modify, break, extend line, trim, inset vertex, delete vertex and fillet commands. Select the insert vertex command to add the vertex at the midpoint on the east edge of the parking lot. Drag the cursor in the X direction and key in a distance of 11 feet. Select the delete vertex command and remove the vertex just added. Much easier than using that AutoCAD key edit command, right? Next, I want to add 11 feet to the east edge of the parking lot.
