- Now let's practice selecting elements using some graphic puzzles that I've created. Continue using the file for chapter eight, Using Selection Tools.dgn. And using View Groups select the Selecting Elements model. Since there's more than one way to select elements, I want to demonstrate and give you some hints that will make your selections quicker and more efficient. For example, if I told you to select all of the circles, you could select each one individually. But that wouldn't be the most efficient method. I would use the inside mode and drag a box around all of those circles. I tend not to want to use the buttons in the element selection tool settings dialog, because I think there are easier, on the fly methods for accomplishing the same thing. I will drag from left to right inside mode, because if I drag from right to left overlap mode, I will select the lines as well.
