- [Instructor] Open the file for Chapter Four using AccuSnap.dgn. And using View Groups, select the Keypoint Divisor 2 model. The default snap mode in MicroStation is called the keypoint snap. The keypoint snap uses a divisor setting that controls how many snappable points are available on an element. The keypoint divisor is set to two by default. This means that all elements or segments of an element are divided by two to determine their snappable points. It's very similar to using the divide command in AutoCAD. To place point objects on an object and using the node OSNAP. What's better, is that I don't have to place any additional node elements and then delete them when I'm finished. This is one of my favorite features in MicroStation but I don't have an AutoCAD. In a few minutes you'll see how easy it is to change the keypoint divisor on the fly.
