- [Instructor] Now let's take a look at the various trim commands available in MicroStation. Continue using the file for chapter seven, Modifying Basic Geometry.dgn, and using view groups, select the TRIM Elements model. There are three trim commands available. The first is Trim to Intersection. Using Trim to Intersection, I can easily trim elements to where they intersect other elements. When you use this command, you want to identify the elements on the portions of the element that you want to keep. I will select the line on this end of the line and select a second element. These two elements will be trimmed to each other. If I select lines that don't necessarily intersect, the command will still work. I can select this horizontal line and this diagonal line, and it will trim to where they would intersect if they were long enough.
