Understanding units and design file settings

- Working units define a breakdown of the design plane or design queue into real world units of measurement. These units can be defined as imperial or metric. And you can even define your own custom unit definitions. Modifications to working units will not effect the size of the previously constructed graphics unless you change the positional or resolution settings. These settings are saved with the Save Settings command. The core items of the working unit definition are Master Unit, Sub Unit and Positional Units. This is sometimes referred to in the documentation as MU:SU:PU. Each of these core items can be defined in your real world units of measurement. For example, I can change the format of my unit readout to be master units only, master units and sub units or master units, sub units and positional units.
