Using the Accudraw Calculator - MicroStation Tutorial
From the course: Learning Bentley MicroStation V8i
Using the Accudraw Calculator
- Use the View Groups tool and select the AccuDraw calculator model. It's the AccuDraw calculator that is always available in the background. It is actually a MicroStation feature that we use in AccuDraw. MicroStation has a built-in calculator so you don't have to have a calculator sitting near by for some of your geometry calculations. It is a very basic calculator but it allows you to multiply, divide, add and subtract. I need to draw a centerline between the two horizontal existing pavement edges. I don't know the distance between them without measuring and I don't want to take the time to do that. So how can I find the midpoint between two lines? Select the Place Line command and tentative snap to the endpoint of one of the lines. Key in "o" to move the compass to that location. Verify that the compass is in polar mode, so it must be round, for this to work because I need to find the distance between the lines and divide it by two. Next, hover on the endpoint of the second line…
