- [Instructor] In this exercise I will demonstrate how to use precision input in MicroStation without using accu-draw. Open the file for chapter four using precision input.dgn. In case you don't like using accu-draw we can use some other methods to input precision input in MicroStation. For the first example, I want to demonstrate how to input precision graphics using the tool settings dialog to define an element's exact size and angle. Select the line command and using the tool settings dialog I will set the length to 10:6, 10 foot 6 inches, and define the angle as zero. Note that the 10 foot 6 inch line with an angle of zero is attached to the cursor. So I can just issue a data point if you want to place the line. Now select the circle command. I will change the method to center and set the radius to two feet. Again, the two foot radius circle is attached to the cursor and I will issue a data point in view one to place the circle.
