Using pulldown menus

- Now we will take a look at the individual components that are delivered with the MicroStation workspace. The first interface component that I want to take a look at are the pull-down menus. MicroStation does not provide a ribbon in this version. So we still rely on pull-down menus and toolboxes as our main resource for accessing tools and commands. Pull-down menus provide a good access point for Word-based commands where an icon on a button would not be as efficient. For example, using the File pull-down menu, you find a typical command such as File, Open, Close, New, Save As and Print. All very common commands found in other Windows applications. These same commands are available on the standard toolbox and we'll look at that next. The Edit pull-down menu provides access to common editing commands such as Undo, Redo, and some of the Windows Clipboard and Selection tools.
