- [Instructor] In this exercise, we will look at accessing individual toolboxes in the MicroStation interface. Continue using the file for chapter one, Surviving the Interface.dgn. Now let's take a look at the individual toolboxes that are provided in MicroStation. The first thing we need to learn how to do is turn toolboxes on and off, to control what tools take up screen space and which ones we won't be using on a regular basis. For example, the standard toolbox is not on by default. I will select the tools pull down menu and select standard to turn it on. Using this toolbox, I now have the standard Windows tools that many of you use on regular basis. If you use buttons, rather than the file pull down menu, to open a file, you need to dock this toolbox for everyday use. I will dock this at the top of the application window in the same place that I would find it in other applications.
