Using tools and commands

- In this section we will take a look at the Primary commands and View commands. MicroStation commands are persisting commands, as I mentioned before. So when I select the Line command and I begin drawing a line, the command will stay running even after I right-click and issue a reset to stop the current line element. The Line command does not stop. So I can add additional lines as needed. Remember, a command continues to run until another Primary command is selected. If I wanted to issue a View command in the middle of drawing a line, I can do that. Since View commands are transparent and are allowed to run in the middle of any Primary command. I issue the first reset to End a View command and I am back in the line Primary command. A second reset will stop the current line element. Primary commands include any Draw, Modify, or Manipulate commands. Basically, any command that relates to data in the file.
