What is AccuSnap?
- [Instructor] In this exercise we are going to take a look at the basics of using AccuSnap. AccuSnap is the simplest way to snap to elements based on their geographic, snappable point using the snap points available in MicroStation. Open the file for Chapter 2, Using AccuSnap.dgn and using View Groups select the Keypoint Divisor 2 model. So why use AccuSnap? Using AccuSnap is an important part of using AccuDraw efficiently. AccuSnap improves the availability and productivity of just about every click you make in MicroStation. Any time you need to snap to an element which should be every time, using AccuSnap eliminates the need to use the old tentative snap. While many legacy users of MicroStation still prefer to use the tentative snap to snap to elements, I can't stress how much I disagree with this choice.
