- The next feature to learn in AccuDraw is SmartLock. SmartLock allows you to align elements to existing elements during the draw process. To demonstrate this, I need you to use the Viewgroups command and select the AccuDraw SmartLock model. Select the Place Line command and issue a left-click to start the line element. Drag the cursor in the X direction and move on or off the compass axis. At this point, I can draw any angled line that I want. There are no constraints on the angle of the line. Using the keyboard, hit the Enter key. The angle of the line will now lock to the nearest compass axis. Hit the Enter key again and the axis constraint is removed. This is SmartLock. The only thing seen on the screen is a quick SmartLock tooltip that appears briefly over the AccuDraw dialog. So how can I use this in a productive way?
