- [Narrator] The MS-500 exam may test your knowledge of managing cloud app discovery in Microsoft cloud app security. So it pays to understand how to collect data to generate your discovery reports. There are two types of reports you'll see related to discovery. There's a snapshot report which comes from a one-time log upload. And then there are continuous reports for which we can source data a number of ways. We can integrate cloud app security with Microsoft defender for endpoint, which then extends our discovery capability beyond our corporate network out to our end points running the defender for endpoint sensor anywhere they may be located. We can set up a log collector, which enables us to easily automate log upload from our network devices and that collector runs on your network and receives the logs over SIS log or FTP, which it then uploads.
