Three ways to apply styles

- [Instructor] This document is called applying styles. It's in the chapter two folder. And it's the document that we were working with relatively recently. And the first thing that I want to do is show you how you clear styles. Then I'm going to show you how to apply styles. So if I wanted to clear all the formatting from this document, including styles, I just hold Control, hit A to select the entire document, and I'd hit clear formatting and there go my formats, including my styles. Control Z to bring that back. But sometimes I have a document that people are working in and they've actually used the formatting tools that are available in the format dialog box. Maybe they put in some fancy glow letters, whatever it is that they've done. Maybe some italics here. And if I want to get rid of just that type of formatting in a document, character-based formatting, I can select the entire document, Control A and I can hold…
