If you are one of the millions of Word users who started out using Word Perfect, you might remember something called Reveal Codes, which allowed us to see the formatting that was in place for a section of text. Word has the same feature and it's called Reveal Formatting. Simply select a section of texts, then hold shift and hit F1 to open the reveal formatting pane on the right side of the screen. It lists first the start of my text that is selected. Then it shows the font, paragraph, and section formatting that is applied here. If you want to modify some attribute, there are links that will take you to the appropriate dialogue box to be able to change the formatting for the selected text. There's another neat feature of the Reveal Formatting pane. I can find out if two paragraphs are formatted the same way.
