Download course content

- [Narrator] Moodle now has a feature which allows students to download all of the course content. This can be beneficial for many reasons, one of the most important being that then they'll be able to download them and view the files when they're offline or don't have internet access. Let's take a quick look at this feature. Now it's important to note that this is a feature that your system administrator has to turn on or enable. If you don't have access to it, I recommend checking with them to see if you can get that feature turned on. If it's enabled you as the instructor will be able to decide if you want students to have the ability to download course files and resources. In order to do this, from a course page I'm going to go up to the gear icon, and select edit settings. So these are the course settings. I'll scroll down, and here you can see the ability to enable download course content. Mine is set at yes, and I'm going to keep it at that. And down at the bottom once you've selected it you can click save and display. Now, from the student perspective, if I switch my role here to the student, this is what it will look like. Where up in the top right corner, they'll have the ability to download course content. And when they click on it it'll ask to download, and cha ching, just like that it has now downloaded a Zip file with all of the resources from this course that were able to be downloaded.
