Recognizing achievement with badges

- Following traditions of scouting, online games and more, badges are a strong motivational tool. If your Moodle administrator has enabled badges for your institution, then you can use them in a number of ways such as showing student achievement of small objectives or course-related tasks. First, turn editing on. I'll use the button in the top-right corner. Then I'll go to the ADMINISTRATION block on the left-hand side and open the Badges submenu. I'll click Manage badges. There are no badges available yet so I'll click Add a new badge. Under name I'll put Innovation. Under Description, Award for being an innovative learner. Next, we'll add an image. I'll click the Choose a file button, I'll make sure it says "Upload a file" in the left column and click the Browse button at the top. I'll select my sample_badge here and click Open, then I'll click Upload this file. Under Issuer details I'll put my name and the course. Then I'll click Create badge.
