Normal maps

- Now we've taken our sculpt of our character to a whole new level. We've created a bunch of details on the character's face, for example, pores, scales. wrinkles, and even ambient skin. Now we want to be able to extract that detail to apply it to a lower resolution or actual production asset. We have the dense mesh here and I'm going to select the model by right clicking on it, dragging down to select model, and I'm going to take this head and generate a normal map. We come up to the top left menu set UVs & Maps, and I can drag down to Extract Texture Maps. Let's create a whole new operation here. You can see that under the Extract Texture Maps we have several options, I'm just going to click Normal Map. In here in Normal Map we're going to see that we have Target Model, it's going to give me a little diagram of what I'm about to do.
