Finding unique values in SQL
- So in our example, when we're looking at the T-Shirts for our employees, we have a few different size possibilities. There might be some smalls, mediums and larges, but there could also be some extra, extra smalls or some extra, extra large. And we want to make sure we're aware of all the possible sizes. For instance, imagine you want to find out what the unique T-Shirt sizes are they need to purchase for a company event. You want to have an idea of the full range so that you can find a manufacturer that covers every size. We don't necessarily want to scroll through and look at each employee individually. Now in Excel, there are multiple ways you can view the unique values within a column. One way you might choose is to use the advanced filter within the data section for Excel.
