- So now I have my main body. I have a cord out and at this point, I need to think about, how am I going to fasten this to the assembly? And on top of that, I want to add some stiffness and some ribs. So I want to layout some of the important bits of geometry that I need for that. Now you'll see here, I have several points already indicated as far as locations where I need fasteners to go. And as far as ribs, once I put the actual bosses in for the fasteners, I'm just going to create some ribs, to sort of connect everything, to create a nice stiff body. So the first thing I'm going to do, is generate some Datum CSYS. And the way this is going to go, is I want to create them using a Z-axis, X-axis and an origin. So the origin point, my Z-axis. As you can see the menu basically walks you through. This is my Z-axis. I'm using my tooling direction, my dial line and my X-axis. I'll just use the X-axis off of my absolute.
