Testing the second adapter

- [Instructor] Once we set up our Ubuntu host as a router, the next step is to connect another host to our Ubuntu router host to see if it functions as a router properly. I have an Ubuntu VM already up and running. Let's type ifconfig to check the current network settings. Press Enter. The IP address is 10.0.0.4, therefore it belongs to the 10.0.0 subnet as shown in this diagram. We want this host to be behind our router belonging to the 10.0.1 subnet. In Azure, to change the subnet of a host, go to your VM page. Select Networking and your network interface. Choose IP Configurations. Pick the 10.0.1 subnet from the dropdown box. Click on Save. I'm using Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol, or DHCP, for my VMs, therefore DHCP automatically assigns a new IP to the network interface card of my Ubuntu host when I switch the subnet. Let's check if I have a new IP. Type ifconfig, press Enter. The IP is now…
