- [Voiceover] Hello, and welcome back to another edition of Building Your Technology Skills. My name is Martin Guidry. And this week, we're going to be talking about creating users in Windows. Many administrators know about one or two ways to create new users. But there actually are many more tools and techniques. I'm going to go through several of those with you today. I'll be doing my demonstrations on a Windows 2012 R2 server. But the majority of these techniques would work on Windows 2008, Windows 2012, or Windows 2016. The first tool we'll talk about is one of the most commonly used, and that is the control panel for active directory users, and computers. In here I'll select the User OU, right-click and off of the new menu item, I'll go to user. Be prompted for a first name and a last name. Then I'll need to give this user a login name. And obviously, you can use whatever you want. Typically something meaningful to the end user is helpful in the long run. I'll click next, and…
