Photographing the open road
- In Iceland, your primary transport method as you travel around the country will be cars, trucks or buses. One of the things that I love about exploring a region by car is simply being on the road, and all the things that you see during the trip. But don't worry, not all of the roads are like this. We travel on roads most every day of our lives. Whether it's walking or driving around the town where we live, or going on longer trips. And it's on these longer trips, or when we're driving across significant distances through amazing landscapes that the road can take on new meanings. Iceland is great for road photography simply because, as you travel around the country, you'll be on roads a lot. And in many places, these roads pass through some very beautiful and fascinating landscapes. In fact, you'll find that you can make a lot of excellent images simply by pulling off to the side of the road and setting up either near the car or just a short walk from it.
