Welcome

(tranquil music) - [Voiceover] Iceland is a fascinating country in the North Atlantic just below the Arctic Circle. Geologically, it's one of the youngest places on Earth and also one of the most volcanically active, a land formed by the continuous upheaval of volcanic eruptions and sculpted by wind, water, and ice. Hi, I'm Sean Duggan, a landscape and fine art photographer who's had the good fortune to lead photography workshops in Iceland for the past several years. In this course, I'll show you some of my favorite places to make photographs, including the moss covered lava fields, the stark beauty of the central highlands, the glaciers and mountains of the southeast, a visit to an ice cave, the icebergs of the glacier lagoon, and staying out late to capture the dazzling and ephemeral auroras dancing across the night sky. Along the way, I'll share tips and suggestions for planning a photo trip and making images there. If you're interested in Iceland or want to travel there one day, I hope you'll join me.
