- To address this data growth challenge the addition of NoSQL databases has been a common pattern for really many years. However the way it's implemented today has evolved. A key reason to take a look at NoSQL databases is because at web scale relational database performance suffers. Now we'll be exploring in more depth why that is as we progress through this course.
