- [Narrator] So what has really driven this growth of behavioral data? It's what is commonly called web scale data. So what does this mean? It's behavioral data collected at a massive scale, scale we've never seen before. And this was first driven by the biggest search engines, most notably Google, but Bing and some of the others ones as well. Many of the products that we see today is NoSQL databases were developed by people who worked at Google at one time, or based on technologies that were designed to address these scalability challenges because of the amount of data that Google was collecting, not only to index the Web, which in some ways could be argued was transactional, but increasingly behaviorally, through their android ecosystem and through their applications such as maps, and so on.
