- [Steve] Hi, this is Steve Wright welcome you to this week's Nuke nugget, creative ways to disable groups of nodes for faster shot development. You know, as your Nuke skips get larger and more complex, it behooves you to get more organized in order to speed up your shot development. Here we'll see two ways to do just that. This example comes from my Nuke compositing zombies course on lynda.com. Now, I teach my students to put backdrop nodes all over their script and to color-code them to help with organization and for finding things. Here's what I mean. I'm gonna scoot in here. Now, see, I've got the zombie eyes color-coded black so I can find them immediately, and I know that this green guy here is my far headstones glow. So this is a good way to get organized so that you can quickly find your way around, but it has a second advantage. We can use this to disable entire chunks of our script like this.
