3D Viewer changes
- The main design idea behind the new viewer in Nuke 9 is that the 3D controls are not seen when using the 2D viewer, and they're added only when you switch to 3D. You can see that here, we're in 2D, if I switch to 3D, these icons were added right here. Back to 2D, back to 3D. So let's take a look at these new icons. First up, this is the selection menu that used to be in the 2D viewer, and we get our vertex and face selection, object selection as before. What's new is the disabled acclusion testing has been moved to this pop up, as opposed to being a separate icon. So close that. The 3D view icon hasn't changed, it works the same as before. The camera selection pop up works the same as before so there's no change here. Here's something new. This next icon here is the grid visibility on and off toggle. It's a duplicate of what's in the viewer set up panel. This last icon enables the GL lighting. What it does is it shades objects with a spotlight from whatever the viewpoint is. So even…
