- [Steve] Nuke 9 has added drop shadows to the Text node with an elegant interface that allows you to quickly dial in the exact look you want. Let's start by zooming into our drop shadow text here. I'll double-click on the Text node to open up the property panel in the property bin. By the way, this version of the Text node was covered in the Nuke 8 New Features course. So if you haven't seen that yet, go watch that, then come back to this and learn how to add the drop shadows by clicking on the Shadows tab. The first thing you do is enable the drop shadows here, and we get a preliminary setting of drop shadows. We'll zoom in a little bit there. 'Course you can change the color by default, they're going to be black. But you can dial the opacity up and down, you can change the angle if you wish, and increase the distance or decrease it.
