Adding text - Nuke Tutorial
From the course: Nuke New Features Consolidated
Adding text
- [Instructor] The text node has received major upgrades for Nuke 8. It can be used for labeling shots, creating slates or even scrolling credits. One of the big innovations is its Photoshop-like ability to select and adjust individual characters or words. We'll start by adding a text node. I'll use the Tab key to do a search, type in the letter t and then my text node, put it over here, type one to hook it up to the viewer. One of the big innovations is simply, put your cursor in the viewer, click and start typing. It's that easy. There's another option I'm going to reset this back to default. You can start by drawing a text box. And now you can just click and type. Now, after you've typed the text, you can adjust its parameters. First you'll have to select it, now you can select it either here in the message window, or click to deselect, up here in the viewer. Either way, it's selected. Once the text is selected, you can adjust things like its size, or if you'd like to see it bold…
