Converting a group to a gizmo

- [Instructor] When a group is exported as a gizmo it can be saved locally where only you can see it, or it can be saved in a central directory where everyone can see it. You'll need to check with your IT guy where the public directory is because it's different at each facility. So let's start by seeing how to save this group out as a gizmo. The first thing you want to do is set the sliders for the default value you want when the gizmo's opened. Let's say I want the scale to be .8, and I'm fine with the blur size being zero. So I'm going to save out my gizmo locally. We do that by switching to the Node tab, and right down here, export as gizmo, click on that. So I'm doing this on a Mac, and for a Mac the location to save it is your home directory, in the .nuke folder, and then you give it your name, MyGizmo, no extension. When it's saved out the .Gizmo extension will be added. The important thing is it goes into the .nuke folder under your home directory. Click save. If you're on a…
