- [Steve] While working with deep images is a very powerful workflow, it can be hard to visualize. Here we'll look at several tools that will help you to navigate your deep terrain. All the images that we're using are in the Deep Compositing folder of the exercise files. Let's start out by taking a look at how to measure your deep images. We have two ways to do that, the DeepSample node and the deep graph. I'll start by hooking up to my deep cloud, and open up the DeepSample node which is connected to it. I move this position point around the screen, you can see the deep samples printing over here in the property panel. I go to a thin area, there's not very many samples, and I move over to a thicker area, there's a lot more. So you're actually seeing the number of layers plus their values.
