- [Steve] Nuke is the de facto visual effects compositing software used by all major studios and is an absolute requirement for breaking in to the industry. This course is a marvelous introduction to Nuke to help you get started on your visual effects career. We first explore the user interface and how to navigate around Nuke's various windows and how to operate tools like the viewer, curve editor, and the timeline. We'll also learn the internal structure of Nuke's channels, how to build node trees, and how to create key frame animation. In the second chapter, we focus on 3D compositing with topics like color correcting, compositing images and transformations, core skills such as keying, tracking, and rotoscoping are also covered. In the third chapter, we explore Nukes powerful 3D composting capabilities to learn about geometric primitives, adding material properties, 3D transformations, and camera projection. Of course, we also cover the basics like adding 3D cameras and lights and how to render a 3D scene. Each video comes with a prepared Nuke script and all the media required to follow along with the tutorial on your own machine so you get hands on experience with Nuke.
