Overview of 3D compositing

- [Instructor] This lesson begins the 3D compositing portion of the course, and is one of Nuke's most powerful features, but it's not designed to model a car or animated t-rex, it's specifically designed to re-photograph live action elements in a true 3D environment. I can demonstrate that for you with this little setup here. The important thing is to note how seamlessly we move back and forth between the 2D and the 3D worlds. So, let me start by playing the clip that we're going to be seeing the composite here.. So, we got the zombies staggering through this house, and you can see we have a nice camera truck going along horizontally, showing our parallax and perspective. So, let's see how this shot is built. We start here, with just a 2D painting of the background plate. Then, switching to our 3D world, I have very simple geometry here, four cards which have a floor and three walls.
