Planar Tracker settings - Nuke Tutorial
From the course: Nuke Essential Training (2014)
Planar Tracker settings
- The Nuke 9 Planar Tracker is now integrated into the Roto Node and has an all-new texture tracking algorithm that can lock onto nearly featureless surfaces. As a result, it has a few different controls, which we'll be looking at. This video only covers the new features. To see a full tutorial on the Planar Tracker, go to the Nuke 6.3 New Features course, chapter 13. Now we have a couple of ways to proceed. We can start by adding the Planar Tracker node, I'll select the Read node, go to the Transform tab, and add a Planar Tracker Node. Let me adjust the property panel width here, and as you can see, it's really a Roto Node, that's had a Tracking tab added to it. Alternately, you can start with a Roto Node and then invoke the Planar Tracker. To show you that, we'll go to the Drawing tab, and select a Roto Node, and you can see it now has a Tracking tab built in. So I can start by drawing a shape in the Roto Node, so then, if I decide I want to Planar Track it, I can do a right-mouse…
