Playback controls

The playback controls allow you to play, stop, reverse, and loop clips in the viewer. There are even some hotkeys that you'll want to know about. You'll find the Nuke script I'm using, in the exercise files. The playback controls are pretty straight-forward. This is play forward. There's your stop. Play backwards, and stop. You also have some keyboard shortcuts that you can use. It's the J, K, and L keys, which is familiar to editors, as a very common setup for editing systems. You put all three fingers on the keyboard, J, K, and L. And then type L for forward, K to stop, J for reverse, K to stop. You'll also have single frame forward and single frame back, but you're probably going to want to use the arrow keys on the keyboard. Right arrow forward. Left arrow backwards. This is the jump to the first frame and jump to the last frame. Now, to see the key frame controls, we're going to have to have some key frames on the timeline.
