Setting warp boundaries - Nuke Tutorial
From the course: Nuke Essential Training (2014)
Setting warp boundaries
The influence of a spline warp extends all the way to the edge of the image. But this is often not what you want. A spline warp node offers three types of warp boundaries that limit the area that a warp effects. The soft boundary, the hard boundary, and the pin. We can see the effect of the warp if I toggle my node on and off. You can see that the. Influence of the warp goes all the way out to the edge of the picture. So, we want to limit that with some boundaries. So, let's open up our Property Panel, and we can see the splines that I already have. We'll scooch in here, and I've already drawn a nice boundary curve here. It can be an open or a closed blind, doesn't matter. And I've got it invisible at the moment. So, if I turn the visibility on, then it'll have an effect on the picture. Now, at the moment, this spline is not set as a boundary. So, you just draw a regular spline, and then you declare it to be a boundary. Now, you can make it a soft boundary by clicking over here. And…
