- [Instructor] The smart vector tool set is a group of nodes that collects motion vector data from a clip, then uses it to warp an image to follow and track on top of that clip. Without this tool set, your only alternative is to hand warp the image to the clip with key frame animation, a very time consuming and error prone process. So what I'm going to do, is I'm going to take this mask here and I'm going to track it on top of this moving face there. Won't that be neat? Alright, now from a work flow standpoint, I prefer to set up the reference frame first. So, what's this reference frame all about? If we made frame one the reference frame, that would mean I'm going to take frame one here, and I'm going to warp it all the way to the last frame. Now that's a lot of warping to do. What you need to do instead is pick a midpoint, in this case frame 12, we'll use frame 12, and what's going to happen is frame 12 will be warped half way to the first frame and then half way to the last frame…
