Now let's take a look at the workflow if we're doing a live action depth field. The first thing is, you're going to have to create your depth channel. Now, you can do this a couple of ways. Nuke has some tools that will create depth channels for model or stereo images, or you can draw your own little Roto Node, which is what I've done here. I'll open up my Roto Node, and depth z is set to go into the viewer. So if I switch the viewer to the alpha channel, there's the depth z channel that I created with my Roto Node. I just drew a rectangle, and then pulled out the feather corners. I set the brightness to duplicate the way Nuke calculates a depth map. Oh, we'll go back to the RGB channel. Close the Roto Node. Rehome the viewer. Now we can add the ZD focus node. Once again, I put my cursor in the node graph. Hit the Tab key to find the node search function. ZD focus is at the top, because that was the last thing I did. Nuke remembers the last thing you did. Type Return, hook it in…
