Displaying the Developer tab
- Many of the tools that we'll use to create forms in Microsoft Word are on a tab called the Developer tab. And as you see, that Developer tab is not visible here on the ribbon. We need to customize the ribbon to display it. That's very easy to do. Simply right click somewhere on the ribbon, any blank area, and choose Customize the Ribbon. In the right-hand side under Main Tabs, find the Developer tab, click it to turn it on, and click OK. The Developer tab will appear to the right of the View tab because that's where it lives in the ribbon. When you click the Developer tab, we now have access to all of the tools that we will need to add controls to our form and to protect our form.
