- [Tutor] Although Microsoft desktop apps are powerful productivity and creation tools, they do cost money. And they have to be downloaded on a computer you're using. Google had a solution with Google drive. Which included a set of tools, very similar to the Microsoft apps. But were available online, instead of as downloaded apps. Google documents were like Word, sheets like Excel, slides like PowerPoint. These tools weren't as robust as the Microsoft apps but they were great tools for educators and students. Because they were free. Content is stored in the cloud and can be accessed from anywhere. And you can collaborate in real time. Well, Microsoft released a very similar concept which is Microsoft Office online. And you now have the ability to access the online version of these applications.
