Saving a form as a template
- Our form has been completed, it's been protected, and it's been tested. Everything works fine. So the question is what do we do next? Now sometimes what people do is they take this form and they'll simply send it to somebody who fills it out and then that person needs to save it. The next time they want to save it, they need to remember to do Save As, so they don't overwrite the data from this event onto the next event. And as soon as you see that you're in the habit of opening a file and needing to do Save As or opening it as a copy so you don't overwrite it, you should have a bell that goes off that says time to create a template, because a template actually automates that process for you. When I save a document, including this form, as a template, what I get is an unchanged version and each time someone opens a document based on the template they get a copy.
