- [Instructor] If you're not already in a part studio go ahead and click and create a new document. Open up a blank document here, I'm gonna go ahead and choose the front plane, and I'm gonna go ahead and click on start a sketch, there it is. Now I'm in the sketch environment, I'm gonna go ahead and click on sketch one. Click on the front so I'm looking straight at it and then I'm gonna go ahead and hide these other planes. So I'm gonna just turn these off, just 'cause I don't wanna see them, I wanna nice clear, clean environment to be working on. Alright, so my very first tool is gonna be the line tool. Click on the line tool, notice it turns into that. Notice it highlights the little icon up there and now I'm in the line tool. So the first thing I wanna do is click once and just move my cursor around and notice what happens. I've got this little heads up display telling me how long the line is.
