- [Instructor] There are three types of items that you can create in the Outlook calendar. The first is an appointment, which is simply blocking off time. An appointment is exactly how we would indicate that we would like to spend four hours working on a creative task. There are different ways we could do this. First, we could click New Appointment to open the new appointment form. Because we're in the calendar, we could hit Control + N to open that form. If we were anywhere else in Outlook, we would hold Control and Shift and hit the letter A, which also opens an appointment form regardless of where you are. If you wish to invite other people to an appointment, you have a meeting. It's the same form. You simply click Invite Attendees, and you have some additional options, including a room finder, some help with the scheduler. And then finally, we have events. Events are all day items.
