- [Instructor] Outlook tasks allow you to track your own to-do list, as well as delegate tasks to others and track their progress. For the MOS exam, you'll need to know how to create tasks, delegate tasks, and update task status. I'm currently in the Task module within Outlook and I can tell by the ribbon that I'm looking at the Detailed view. It's easy for me to switch to the Simple List, the To-Do List, et cetera, but I'll go ahead and return to the Detailed List. Here I can see my tasks are in descending order by due date. On the MOS exam, you might be asked to create a task, named Annual Meeting Prep, due on August 1st and set a reminder at 9:00 a.m. I can create a task by clicking New Task from the ribbon, I'll type the subject Annual Meeting prep, I'll set a due date of August 1st, and I'll set a reminder.
