- [Instructor] NetBeans is a free, open-source IDE with a worldwide community of users and developers. It has been around for over 20 years and is very well supported. On the slides, there's a summary of some of NetBeans at key features. We're going to take a closer look at some of these features now. On the screen, we have NetBeans set up and running with a local WordPress project. One of the key features of NetBeans is it's beginner friendliness. It works out of the box with minimal setup, and yet has many powerful features. For example, when you create a new project with NetBeans, pretty much everything is ready to go with the default settings, which it provides. This is a real bonus compared to some other IDEs where set up can take a lot longer and sometimes require extensive research. One great example of this is that NetBeans finds your PHP executable for you, if you have one, and uses it as a default. Okay…
