Tweaking PHP code on a remote server with a text editor

- [Instructor] One common situation where using a text editor is a great choice, is when you want to make a small tweak to some PHP code on a remote server. If you set your favorite text editor as the default program for opening files in your FTP client, then you can quickly and easily make changes to a live website. Obviously, you should proceed with caution when doing this. So I've got FileZilla open here, and in my settings for my file editing, you can see I have no bad plus plus set as the default editor. So that means, if I now right click on a file on my remote server, I have an option to view or edit it. And I've already got it open, but I'll just discard my open one. And you can see that what happens is, the file is now open on my local machine inside Notepad. So let's change it to "wherever you are, I will be of you." And then, if I save that, then I'll get the option when I go, when I look at my FTP,…
